People used to think that the only way man leaves an undying mark in this world is just through having descendants. But they too leave their marks through naming a building after their names, through writting books, through setting up foundations for good cause, you name it. In Joe's case, other than leaving Sophia, Sulyman and Shariman behind, there is his blog and there is also something for continuous learning which he had left with his fellow colleagues. Not forgeting, the mark he left in each of the hearts he had touched, be it in person or through Joe-Blogs.
